Visiting the Market - Tips & Helpful Info
Market
Headquarters
Your first stop for information about all the goings-on at the market. Stop by Farmers Market Headquarters along Cedar Avenue to meet Market Director, Sarah Dylan Jensen, staff members and seasonal volunteers that help us run the show.
This is also where you can use your SNAP/EBT benefits and receive SNAP Match funds. If you have questions on our EBT, SNAP & WIC/Senior Citizens benefits, we can help with that too!
Here you can also grab some brochures from our sponsors and neighboring businesses and purchase SFM merchandise, posters and more.
Pet Policy
The Snohomish Farmers Market (regular weekly dates) welcomes well behaved pets on short, controlled leashes.
We expect our furry friends to be well-trained, friendly and not cause disturbances to other shoppers during their visit. All pet messes must be cleaned up by the owner and aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
Please be respectful of those that do not wish to interact with your animal. We discourage retractable leashes.
Please ensure your pet does not soil tent corners, weights or any property of our vendors or customers. You will be asked to leave if these behaviors are witnessed.
FMNP
(WIC/Senior)
The Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to eligible women, children, and senior citizens.
The WIC Nutrition Program provides healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to health and other social services to low-income families.
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program is part of the Senior Nutrition Program. The Senior Nutrition Program improves nutrition for low-income adults over age 60.
We strive to have at least 5 produce vendors are authorized with the FMNP program to accept WIC & Senior vouchers at the market. The list of participating vendors will be available at Market HQ, please inquire there if you need assistance in locating them!
SNAP Benefits
& EBT
We are pleased to partner with the Washington Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to provide fresh, healthy produce & other food options to those with SNAP & EBT cards.
To use your benefits at the Snohomish Farmers Market, simply visit the Market Headquarters booth & tell the staff - in $1 and $5 increments - how much you'd like to spend. Your card will be swiped and you will be given RED tokens for use on applicable items. These red tokens never expire for use at our market.
Note: You cannot use your EBT tokens to purchase flowers, ready-to-eat/take-out food or other non-food items. There is also no cash/change given for EBT token purchases.

Parking
Given that we are in a bustling downtown area, parking can be a challenge. There are several ADA parking spaces near Looking Glass Coffee and the Snohomish Bakery, but unfortunately with our limited footprint and permit, we do not have designated ADA parking for the market at this time.
Smoke & Alcohol Free
The Snohomish Farmers Market is partnering with the Snohomish Health District to expand the smoke-free policy that has been in place for several years. We are a tobacco-free market, supporting the 85% of Snohomish County adults who do not smoke and proving a healthy environment for all.
