Music is a valued part of the Snohomish Farmer's Market. We enjoy a great combination of professional musicians and street performers (buskers) that add a lovely soundtrack to our Thursday atmosphere. Being a community-focused organization, we strive to highlight local talent.
If you're interested in becoming part of our "soundtrack" please fill out the information below. The Manager and Board of Directors will review all applications to ensure a good fit. Please note, due to current ASCAP rules, only original content may be played during market hours. The Snohomish Farmer's Market pays $100.00 to our approved main acts at the completion of the market day & to those that follow our guidelines.
Our performance expectation is to have musicians play from 3:30p until 6:30p. We welcome performers to start early if they like, but it's not required. Several 15 minute breaks are assumed throughout the course of the evening. We operate rain or shine, and provide a tent as well as a power outlet for our musicians.
Approved "main acts" are allowed to hang banners, sell CD's and collect tips during performances. Buskers are allowed to collect tips and sell CD's but space is limited and busking opportunities are offered on a first-come, first-served basis so as not to over-crowd or interfere with our approved musicians. Buskers must be approved by the market manager.
We strive to give our artists a positive performance experience and will actively promote on Social Media & through our weekly "Shout Out" newsletter during market season.
